Musings

I still take too many* photos of clouds and sunsets.

I'm living in a new country and enjoying the seasons flipped around (Christmas in summer still wins).

I'm back studying after graduating over 8 years ago. Fulfilling a lifelong dream. My own carpe diem moment, which I feel very lucky to be able to do (thanks to a very supportive husband who is my cheer squad).

I never stopped reading blogs, but comment very rarely - even though I feel like we could be the best of friends! (Shout out to Cherie and Kerri, just to name a few)

I'm still lamenting the loss of Google Reader. Old school blog reading. Why? Why? Feedly has to do the job these days (I like the magazine view).

I hope reigniting this blog will help me to reconnect with the blogging community. Hello all!

*In my honest opinion there is no such thing as 'too many' photos of clouds and sunsets

Christmas is on its way

Are you feeling festive? Walking around the city there's already a few Christmas trees and the department store Christmas shops have been up and running for a while. I love this time of year, it makes me tingle with anticipation and excitement.

To me Christmas means going home to spend a few weeks with family, lots of meals with family and friends, a few parties; it's the most relaxing time of the year.

So I started my Christmas shopping a few weeks ago when I happened upon a few gifts for girlfriends and something fab for my Mum! I'm not normally this organised, but the right things happened to be in front of me so I snapped them up, including this sweet little photo clutch from Sportsgirl, which I saw last year but sold out before I got any! So this year I bought a few as soon as I spotted them!
My one strict rule about Christmas (to moderate my excitement, and to not let the consumer aspects outweigh the religious origins): no decorations in the house before December!
Have you started your Christmas shopping? Are your decorations up? I'd love to hear! xxx
